How do I register my business to accept Groupee payments?

Easy. Simply download Groupee from the APP Store or Google Play, enter your business’ details and submit documentation via the app to verify your account.

How do I make sure that my customers are paying the correct amount?

Every Groupee payment requires a member of your staff to physically sign off with your unique merchant code before a payment is processed. This only takes seconds and ensures that the amount being paid matches that displayed on the bill.

How long does it take for a Groupee payment to deposit into my designated bank account?

Payments made through Groupee are processed by Stripe’s global payments platform, meaning that payment will take no longer than 48 hours to reach your account.

How can I track Groupee payments?

Our merchant portal tracks Groupee payments in real time, keeping you informed and in control. You can easily log into this on the Groupee APP.

Can I change my merchant PIN?

Of course! You can do this as often as you like on the app’s merchant portal.

I want to offer a promotion exclusive to Groupee users. How can I make this happen?

Great! Groupee offers registered merchants a fantastic opportunity to actually encourage their customers to split the bill and are happy to promote your business to our users. Get in contact with us by emailing us and we will work with you to create an awesome plan.

Can I opt my business out of Groupee?

If for whatever reason you would like to stop accepting Groupee payments from your customers then contact us and we’ll sort it out for you.

How do I use Groupee?

Download Groupee from the APP Store or Google Play, visit one of our registered bars, restaurants and cafes and then follow the simple steps on the APP to make your payment.

How do I use a promo code?

Visit the ‘Promotions’ section on the app, tap ‘Add Promo Code’ and enter your code. This will automatically be added to your next transaction. Promo codes are added individually to each transaction and cannot be used in conjunction with each other.

How do I SAVE by inviting friends?

Visit the ‘Promotions’ section of the app, share the unique code at the bottom of the screen with your friends and ask them to enter it into the promo code section of their Groupee app.

Do I have to split my bill evenly?

At this stage the only way to split a bill through Groupee is evenly, however we are working on adding the functionality to be able to pay by item. Watch this space!

HELP! I had an issue with a Groupee payment – what do I do?

Issues with Groupee payments are extremely rare, however in most cases are be resolved quickly and easily. Email us and we’ll look into it for you.

I don’t seem to be able to load my American Express card.. Can I?

You can! Once you’ve entered the first 3 digits of your CVC code, tap again and it will allow you to add a 4th digit. We’re working to make this easier for you.
